Now everyone is going green. In a town in a developed or developing nation, you will find everyone is talking green. Super markets, banks, auto manufacturers - even interior designers - have gone green.

USA is promoting green. This country is becoming eco-friendly in their homes and offices. India has also started moving to green.It has opened an opportunity for interior designers locally and internationally.

I have read many article . According one article written by Wrin Jourdan Green interior designers create eco-friendly spaces by integrating renewable, recycled, or salvaged building materials and energy-efficient practices into their design plans. According to him, This could include:

Using non-toxic paints and other design materials that do not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs can cause negative environmental effects, such as ozone layer damage and smog creation.

Incorporating natural light, low energy appliances, and compact fluorescent light bulbs into the space.

Using items that have little or no impact on the environment, like oxygenating plants or sustainably built furniture.

Green interior design doesn't just apply to living rooms. Restaurants, health care facilities, hotels, and many other businesses can all benefit from going green. Many businesses are realizing that using green design can actually save money and increase the value of their property.

According to ,McGraw-Hill Construction's "2009 Green Outlook: Trends Driving Change Report" found that green buildings had 13.6 percent lower operating costs and higher property values - 10.9 percent higher - than their non-green counterparts. Additionally, McGraw-Hill Construction estimated that the green building market would more than double by 2013.
