The Make-A-Wish Foundation Creates Customized Organization Lapel Pins For Those Who Help Make Dreams Come True

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been enriching the lives of children with life threatening illnesses since 1980. The first wish was made by 7 year old Christopher J. Greicuis who dreamed of becoming a police officer. Chris was being treated for leukemia. On April 29th, young Christopher, with the help of a family friend in the police department, was suited in an official uniform, sworn in, taken on a tour of his Sheriff's department office, met the command staff, rode in a department helicopter and much more. On May 2nd, he was re-hospitalized and requested that his room be adorned with his police gear. The following day, May 3rd, Chris passed away.

Committed to Making Wishes Come True

Since the fulfillment of that first wish, the organization has grown to the network of almost 25,000 volunteers that it is today. These selfless individuals are the backbone of the organization as they are the wish granters, fundraisers and special events assistants. To show its appreciation for their commitment, generosity and time, Make-A-Wish contracted Lapel Pins Plus to help design a custom lapel pin for those who give their time and make donations toward making a child's wish come true.

A Classic and Timeless Token

The recognition pin is a classic die struck lapel pin with an antique gold finish. Instead of using a traditional round lapel pin, our designers suggested the organization take advantage of our cut-to-shape option. As you can see, the pin's shape is made up of 3 overlapping stars. The antique finish gives this simple lapel pin design an edge that makes it stand out.

What will your organization do to gain support for its cause? With world wish day, April 29th, coming soon there is still time to have your customized organization lapel pins made and shipped. The pin shown above is only oneof many ways in which we can personalize your pins.
