Information about the new sixth generation BMW 3 Series

, the world's best selling premium saloon has been released by BMW. The new BMW 3 Series includes new powertrains and additional EfficientDynamics fuel-saving, emissions-reducing technologies to name but a few features.

The new BMW 3 Series Saloon is expected to go on sale in the UK on 11th February 2012, which will be available at BMW Warrington and at many other BMW dealers across the UK. At the end of 2012, BMW plan to introduce for the first time in the UK, the four-wheel-drive and hybrid powertrains for the BMW 3 Series Saloon. This is looking to fill the gap in the UK market and will hopefully take it by storm. BMW would have thought this will do well for them and successfully provide to the UK what it has been missing.

The Saloon version of the 3 series will feature Drive Performance control which allows the driver to switch between up to four driving modes from extremely economical to sporty - ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport +. All BMW 3 Series Saloon will also come standard with automatic air-conditioning, Bluetooth, BMW Professional radio with 6.5-inch colour screen and iDrive, keyless starting, USB, a multi-function leather steering wheel, cruise control and automatic boot opening.

All BMW 3 Series Saloon models are fitted with light-alloy wheels of at least 17 inches and run-flat tyres with a Tyre Puncture Warning system as standard.

The new BMW 3 Series also has new safety features which include a full-colour Head-Up Display displaying the current speed limit, current speed and turn-by-turn indications where a BMW navigation system is fitted. Dynamic Safety includes seat belt tensioners, automatic window and sunroof closing if an accident seems imminent. Safety is a big issue for people especially through the winter and BMW has always successfully achieved a high level of this. They are a highly trusted brand throughout the UK and the World.

Three new engines will be added to the BMW 3 Series range within a month, 316d and 318d diesels and another version of the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
