The New Home Buying Process Stanley Martin Style

Buying a new home is one of the largest investments one makes in their lifetime and should be one of the most exciting experiences you have, therefore, it's our goal at Stanley Martin Homes to make sure you're involved and an active part of the entire building process from start to finish!

Once you've narrowed down the neighborhood and home that meets your needs and wants, you work one-on-one with both your Neighborhood Sales Manager and Design Studio Consultant to customize your home with our vast amount of today's popular new home features. Around this same time, you will also be working one-on-one with one of our Loan Officers from First Heritage Mortgage (our preferred Lender) to obtain an approval letter for financing.

FYI if you're looking to move into something right away, we also offer the opportunity to buy one of our homes for Quicker Delivery in which all the features have been professionally selected for you! How easy it that?!

Shortly after receiving the building permit to start building your home, we invite you to attend a Pre-Construction Meeting which allows you to meet the Neighborhood Construction Manager who oversees the construction process of your new home. This meeting is both exciting and informative as it's a review of the architectural plans, grading plans, selections, warranties and construction polices and milestones (in which your Neighborhood Sales Manager will keep you posted on along the way!).

As construction progresses, we invite you to attend a Pre-Drywall Orientation which allows you to tour your home prior to the drywall being installed. This gives us the opportunity to review the quality of our construction and materials with you and verify the installation of optional features.

When your home reaches completion, one of our Customer Service Representatives conducts a detailed inspection of your new home to fine tune anything before we present it to you. When this is completed, we conduct a New Home Orientation where you tour your new home from the outside in, top to bottom with one of our Customer Service Reps. and learn how to use and care for the features of your home. You also receive another review of all your new home warranties.

At last, you revisit your new home to confirm completion on any outstanding items and then proceed to settlement in which you receive the keys to your brand new home you've been anxiously waiting for over the last 4-6 months!!

Oh, and we ALSO touch base with you after settlement (first, to give you a welcome home present!) and then to make sure all is going well as you're getting settled in! Our Customer Service team will also schedule time to visit with you 2 months after settlement and 9 months after settlement to address any warranty related items.
