We are going to be left defenseless in a world where it has become a necessity to carry a weapon. I can purchase a handgun, carry it with me anywhere, possibly shoot someone to death but I can't carry a pepper spray or stun device? Does this make for common sense?
At this time we already have a few states that have restricted the carry and use of self defense weapons as pepper sprays, TASER and stun guns. Some have banned the purchasing of these same devices altogether.
We are heading towards a society in which the honest law abiding citizen is not allowed to defend themselves. With this said, let's hope that we never come upon a situation where we may have to defend against a common criminal.If you haven't purchased your self defense weapons as of now, you may want to consider doing so.
At this time we can still do so in most states, however in the future we may not be able to purchase any self defense weapons. Personal Alarms may be the only form of weaponry left for our defense. Don't get me wrong, personal alarm devices are great and will draw attention to the situation at hand, then let's hope someone will care enough to helpus if needed, but obviously will not perform like other weapons as pepper sprays, stun guns and Taser devices.
In the US alone over 1.3 million people fall victims of a violent crime. This mind you is only the numbers of reported cases. One should wonder how many go unreported or noticed. Within these reported 1.3 million cases over 88,000 isforcible rapes, 400,000 are robberies and over 800,000 are aggravated assaults. The numbers are staggering and only climbing.
The FBI reports that approximately 15,000 people fall victims of a murder per year. This being said, many have become victims due lack of preparation and vulnerability. If more individuals would take the time to learn to how to use, do their research and purchaseself defense weapons they will place themselfin abetter situation, having the knowledge at hand and a weapon to go along with that knowledge can certainly help anyone out of a bad situation.
Simply put, the men and women in armor cannot be everywhere every day. The police officers are worn thin, too much is going on in our cities andsuburbs, including makeshift crimes that are called in only to waste our officers time pursuing, this in itself is time consuming and an unwarranted need for their assistance. Nonetheless, many people utilize the police departments forunnecessary causes. In reality thistakes away from the individual who may really need the assistance of a police officer. It has come a time for us to help ourselves and not rely on others to take care of us.
The police do the best job they can possibly do but let's face it; they are shorthanded and can't be everywhere when needed. Mostly all crimes have already been committed by the time they arrive. Well, I don't know about you but this certainly doesn't helpus.
Criminals do not care, where, who, what and certainly not when they decide to commit their offense. They are not on a set schedule.
Purchasing a self defense weapon is very important, especially now, the crime rates have soared to record numbers, the police can't be everywhere when needed and the fact that the privilege of carrying a self defense weapon may disappear in the near future. So let me ask? Who is the law for? the law-abiding citizen or the common criminal. One has to wonder.
