The Samsung Galaxy S provides an exclusive Layar web browser with realtime digital
information on top of the real World image as you move your camera around the location you are in. It also has turn by turn navigation to guide you to the local points of interest shown, along with other features such as Thinkfree mobile office and a unified interface for social networks and feeds.
The handset also has Swype intuitive typing technology for use with the touch screen interface allowing you to reach speeds of up to 40 words per minute with the onscreen keyboard as the technology follows your finger traces around the on-screen keyboard and puts all the letters together, so you trace the word rather than individually typing it. This makes text messaging, emails and other applications on the handset faster and easier to use.
The Galaxy S has a large 4 inch Super AMOLED touch screen display with WVGA (480 by 800) resolution capable of rendering up to 16 million extremely vivid colours when displaying videos and images on the handset. The full touch bar design handset runs the Adored 2.1 (Eclair) operating system and includes the Chrome-lite web browser to browse full HTML webpages on its large display. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 3.0 along with USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi along with its 3G network Internet capabilities.
The handset has 2 gigabytes of internal storage memory which can be added to with up to 32 gigabytes through the expandable microSD card slot, along with the presence ofd the Nand memory.
