The Wii U That Roughly Never Came Into Existence
What would you do if you found out that the approaching new game console from Nintendo
was just one big fat lie? I am pretty sure it would blow your top off after all those fancy things they have already shown during the recent E3 gaming event.
Well, the good news is that the Wii U is legitimate and it is coming in November this year. It's just amazing to find out that the console that we have all been waiting for almost didn't happen.
At one point, the Japanese company almost gave up on building the new gaming console because of the costing issues they had. Apparently, they said that it was really impossible to come up with an affordable new GamePad with high computing power and a touchscreen interface at the same time. It isn't impossible to have both features in one package but it surely won't be as cheap as what consumers would expect it to be.
For sure, buyers will get turned off when they find out that the new console will cost a lot more than what they will be willing to shell out for a new gaming gadget. Even Satoru Iwata, the Japanese company's president, said that he had several hesitations and issues about the final outcome of the new console.
He said that they had all the options in front of them but they had to make sure that they chose the right one because this could make or break the Japanese company's major comeback in the game.
In the end, they have decided to add the new touchscreen feature for the new hardware and cut down a bit on the computing power. That way, they will be able to present something new to the consumers at a more affordable price. During the recent E3 gaming event, no pricing details were given so it left a lot of people with the "how much" question.
Nintendo declared that the new gaming hardware will be able to support games with 2 touchscreen GamePads at the same time. That means users will be able to maximize the multi-player capabilities of the new console even more.
Of course, it won't happen until after the new gaming hardware has been officially released in the market. Perhaps it might take a couple of months more for 2 consoles to be sold in one package as everyone expects it to be.
Also, another version of the new gaming console will become readily available for fans. If you are into hardcore gaming and would want to give the conventional gaming a modern twist, you can go for the Wii U Pro GamePad.
It will be sold separately as an add-on so it would be great to get one as well. As of the very minute, the Japanese company has not released any information about the specific price of the upcoming gaming hardware.
They are trying to become more careful not to mislead consumers into different pricing quotes from unauthorized dealers at the same time. Amazon, one of the most popular online shopping websites, had to put down a pre-selling offering that had appeared on their website a few days ago. They said it was a mistake on their part and they claimed that it should have never been posted in the first place.
