Think, Become

Can your thoughts heal you? Or the world?

The Intention Experiment seems to think so.

Lynne McTaggart, head of The Intention Experiment, is a journalist and the author of five books, though most famous for her two bestsellers, The Field and The Intention Experiment. She is also an internationally recognized spokesperson on the science of spirituality.

The Intention Experiment is the first book to provide evidence about human intention and also the first to explain how to use this power in life, individually and collectively. Uniquely, it is also the first to invite you, the reader, to take part in the research.

The Intention Experiment comprises of a large scale series of web-based experiments driven by Lynne McTaggart and leading scientists world over, to test the power of our thoughts over the physical world. It studies and recognizes this power of thought and its effect in creating the world, as well as the cohesive nature of mass thought. McTaggart has been running this for over a year now with astounding results.

Basic cooperation or even sacrifice appears to be intrinsic to biological make-up of living things, rather than survival and selfishness. The quality most essential to human nature is a deep connection, not competition. We were never intended to live a life of isolation; we need partnership in order to survive and we experience the greatest stress and most serious illnesses when we are isolated from others, or from a feeling of association. Recognizing this is a healing in itself.

When a lot of negativity is generated through media, it is easy to feel helpless and victimized. However, there are also so many wonderful and inspiring things occurring every day with people working together to make this world a better place. Having information from the Scientific and Spiritual realms, we know that there are ways and means through which each of us can heal, on a personal level and the environment we are surrounded by.

Recognizing this power of thought and the cumulative effect of mass thought, Monish Dhawan seeded the idea that is I Want a Positive Headline. It is a movement that aims at creating a demand of positivity so high that the media starts supplying it. The media, through its extensive reach, affects collective thought, and it can nurture a collective positivity through incorporation of more positive headlines in news broadcasts and reports.

But for this to happen, it needs each of us to choose to make a positive change. It is up to every person to demand for this change and to take this Movement to power. As part of the Movement, 26th October 2009 is a day specially chosen for people to give voice to their desire for positive headlines and to mail media persons, demanding the same. Thought do heal. And the power to bring about a positive change lies with you if you consciously desire health and happiness for you and the world you live in.
