Tips For Buying A New Mens Suit
When a boy runs into a man and starts going to work
, thinking for himself or even when he starts having a family, they need to change the appearance from the jeans and t-shirt to a more sophisticated and manly look. This is best achieved by starting to wear suits. The best way to make the change more easy for yourself, as a man, is to tart with wearing them to work and taking the suit off, leaving only the tie and shirt. You will get used to it. But if you're just a newbie in the suit field, you will need a good guide to help you with choosing the right one. There are several things young men forget to consider when shopping for their suits, even if they're not doing it for the first time. For example, the frequency that you wear your suits with, the personal lifestyle and possible occasions you will wear it to, the shirts you have and ties you own. Even if we can drawn you in dry facts (such as: Navy blue suits are fine to be worn throughout the entire week and go well with the colours white, light blue, dark blue, gray and purple with any patterns or combinations; gray suits are great for any season or time of the day and give impression of stability, professionalism and authority) you can still be unable to fully understand, and not only study by heart, the art of choosing the right suit for you. Here are some simple suggestions for you, which can help you as a starting point:
Try the suit on. Never buy it just because "it looks alright". You should try it. The shoulders should fit. If they don't - it's a lost cause. Even if the salesman is telling you otherwise.
Don't be afraid to make minor fixes to your suits by a good tailor. After all, you're not some catwalk model, whose body works well with all clothes. You have your own shape and muscularity. If you are that afraid, you should at least fix the length of the sleeves so that your shirt cuffs would show just a bit over them. You will definitely need to alter the pants, since they are almost never the right size and shape. Most men wear them too baggy or too tight. No matter what their close friends and family tell you - they look funny.
Be careful with the colours and patterns. If you're not a professional stylist or at least a bit confident in the field, you better keep it simple: dark suit, light dress shirt and dark tie. Just don't style yourself as though going to an Oscar ceremony - don't buy a tux for a cocktail party!
For the hot summer days you should buy suits made from cotton. This fabric breathes and does not make you all sweaty and tortured after a day of business meetings. Nowadays, there are a lot of different styles and colours of cotton suits, so you won't have to worry about this either.
Choose the fabric and colour depending on how you plan on cleaning the suit. Be careful with the ones with silk in them and try not to overuse the expensive fabrics, because a worn-out suit for 2,000 tends to look a lot worse and cheaper than a worn-out cotton suit.
