1. Have a great or good quality duvet cover to protect your duvets. If you have a good duvet cover, you need require less number of times to wash the duvet itself.

2. Replace or wash your duvet covers frequently. This would keep the dust and dirt from settling into the duvet itself.

3. Every morning, re-fluff your duvet to keep its shape and to prevent it from clumping together. Re-fluffing also loosens the dirt and dust which keeps your duvet, together with the covers clean and fresh.

Washing Tips:

1. Read the care label of your duvet and follow it to the dot. If it says, For dry clean only, follow this strictly. The same goes with labels that indicates, Hand wash only. If the care label indicates that it is machine-washable, follow the directions attached to it.

2. Wash your duvets regularly. Now, this one would depend on your judgement.

3. For those who would hand wash or machine wash, make sure that you are following the directions given to the dot. Also, make sure that your duvet is perfectly dry before using it again.

4. For those who would machine wash the duvet, make sure that you are using the lowest settings of both your washer and your dryer to prevent damaging the duvet. Also, even though it seems that your dryer has dried your duvet, it is best to air or sun-dry it for around an hour more. This is just to make sure that the duvet is really dry. Also, make sure that your washer and dryer can really handle the weight of your duvets.
