Toby Keith Tickets - Gearing Up For A Wild Fall
The rough-and-ready Toby Keith, a loudmouthed country artist illuminating the music
scene currently with a politically-stinging song titled "American Ride," seems to be on the ride of his life right now, and with more and more opportunities presenting themselves to Keith recently, the next few months are sure to be a journey he won't soon forget. From international concerts to No. 1 singles and shocking announcements, Toby Keith is currently at the apex of media attention in the country music industry, and here are just a few reasons why country and western fans are leaping to get Toby Keith tickets to upcoming concerts.
Nobel Peace Prize: No, he's not the recipient of this year's Nobel Peace Prize, but Toby Keith will be in Oslo, Norway on Dec. 11 to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, joining other artists Wyclef Jean, Donna Summer, Luis Fonsi and Amadou & Mariam as scheduled performers for the big event. Now that President Barack Obama has been announced as this year's Nobel Peace Prize winner for his acknowledgement and work on "great climactic challenges," Toby Keith's performance at the prestigious event just got a little bit more important.
King of Talk Television: The Big Dog Daddy is making cameos on several television talk shows during the month of October to promote his newly-released album American Ride, and his October appearances have included gigs on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (Oct. 7), The Ellen DeGeneres Show (Oct. 9), Jimmy Kimmel Live (Oct. 14), Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (Oct. 15) and The Bonnie Hunt Show (Oct. 15).
Chart-Topping Success: Toby Keith's music video for his new single "American Ride" caused quite the stir on the music scene, especially as the animated video took the already-edgy song one step further in poking fun at everything from the Bush Administration to oil tycoons, Mexican immigration and global warming. "American Ride" reached No. 1 on the Country Songs chart the first week in October, and it has no intentions of leaving that top slot for several weeks.
Stagecoach Fever: It was announced on Oct. 8 that Toby Keith will join Keith Urban in headlining their first-ever gigs at the Stagecoach music festival in Indio, California in the spring of 2010, and with tickets going on sale in mid-October, this Keith-fronted affair is already causing a ruckus on the country music scene.
About the only big event Toby Keith won't be participating in this fall is the 43rd Annual CMA Awards, as the frank vocalist has had beef with the awards show for years. He's declared his own boycott from the show in recent years, but the Big Dog Daddy wasn't even nominated for an award this year, letting him off the hook easily. Keith's string of international tour dates in Scotland, England, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway starting on Nov. 21 will bring him barreling in full force into the holiday season, and there are sure to be plenty of plans in the works for what's to come of Toby Keith this winter.
