Toxic Aluminum

Aluminum is the most abundant metallic element produced by the earth but it has no known physiologic need

. It is not considered to be a heavy metal like lead but it can be toxic in excessive amounts and even in small amounts especially if it gets deposited in the brain. Aluminum is ubiquitous in our environment and there are many, many different contact points where absorption may occur. These contacts points include deodorants, aluminum foil, antacids, baking powder, beer, bleached flour, food cans, cigarette filters, dental amalgams, cooking pans and utensils, drinking water, nasal spray, pesticides, color additives, construction materials and medicinal compounds. With all of these different ways to absorb Aluminum into your body is it any wonder that is a major health concern today?

Since Aluminum is toxic even in small amounts it is important to be aware of the symptoms of Aluminum toxicity. These symptoms include abdominal pain, anorexia, brittle nails, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, burning in mouth/ esophagus/ stomach/ bowel, dermatitis, drowsiness, hair loss, garlicky odor to breath and stool, headaches, low grade fever, muscle aches /spasms/ weakness, nervousness, sweet metallic taste, and many more. Aluminum is also a competitive inhibitor, meaning your body will utilize and absorb Aluminum instead of essential elements like CALCIUM, magnesium and iron. This means that your body at times will absorb aluminum into bones instead of calcium, this will help make your bones more brittle. Workers in aluminum smelting plants on a long term basis have been found to experience dizziness, poor coordination, balance problems and tiredness. Aluminum is excreted primarily through the kidneys, therefore high amounts can impair kidney function. Aluminum can also accumulate in the brain causing seizures and reduced mental alertness. Excess Aluminum has also been shown to induce microcytic anemia. It may cause anemia through decreased heme synthesis, decreased globulin synthesis and increased hemolysis. Aluminum may also have a direct effect on IRON metabolism: it influences absorption of iron via the intestine, it hinders IRON's transport in the serum and it displaces iron's binding to transferring. It is very obvious that Aluminum is very toxic and can cause very serious health problems even in small quantities. While Aluminum poisoning may not be common the problem arises with the slow accumulation over time of small amounts. It builds up until it is in enough quantity to cause problems.

If you have any of these symptoms the first thing we recommend you do is get tested for Aluminum toxicity. The easiest way to do this is to have a hair toxic elements test performed but you can also do a blood test as well. These tests will atleast give you a base line and can be purchased from your physician.

The next step you need to take it to reduce your contact points with Aluminum so you slow down your absorption.

Then you NEED to remove the Aluminum that has already been absorbed into your body. The best way to do this is use Kelatox EDTA suppositories. EDTA is widely regarded to be the most effective chelator of a wide range of toxic heavy metals, including Aluminum. Kelatox which is absorbed directly into your blood stream through the colon is more effective than I.V. EDTA since it stays in your body up to 4 times longer. Plus it is far less time consuming and over 75% less expensive.
