Tri-Fold or Accordion Style - Which Wallet Should You Choose

?

When it comes to purchasing a new leather wallet, one decision that you will have to make is whether or not you should purchase a tri-fold or an accordion style wallet. Each style has it's own benefits that you will enjoy.

Tri-Fold Wallet

This particular type of leather wallet is great for many different reasons. One of the more obvious reasons is that it can fold up into a smaller length and width, which means that you can get into smaller pockets more easily. The accordion version is longer and is more likely to stick out of pockets such as the ones on jeans. If this is something that you don't want, then the accordion style wallet probably isn't right for you.

Another benefit of the tri-fold is the fact that it typically has more pockets. Perhaps not more pockets with regard to count, but more pockets that you can use to securely tuck items away. This often makes shoppers feel more confident in knowing that their personal belongings are safe and secure.

Accordion Style Wallet

This popular style also has benefits that shoppers enjoy much more than the benefits that the tri-fold has to offer. For one, the longer length in the wallet makes it possible to store things inside of it without bending them or creasing them. Often times this is preferred because shoppers have items that they don't want bent such as pictures, ID cards, or other longer items.

In most cases this type of wallet is much skinnier than the tri-fold for the simple fact that it does not fold up into a small square. Instead, what you see is what you get with regard to size. Sure, it will get thicker as you add stuff to it, but for the most part it will remain much thinner.

Most accordion style wallets have a spot where you can store your checkbook, which is a popular feature that many enjoy. Even thought the checkbook is used less and less these days, there are still many who like to use it and would rather not have to carry it separately.

If you're torn between the tri-fold and the accordion style wallet, then perhaps you need to sit down and list the different pros and cons for each, and then determine which you think will be better for you. When all is said and done you'll have a great new wallet that you truly enjoy.
