Anyone hopeful that energy bills will reduce over the coming months and years had

better think again as industry regulator Ofgem has announced that energy bills will rise by an average of 11 pounds per year until the start of the next decade.

The rise is being implemented due to Ofgem wanting to upgrade gas and electricity networks across the country as they look to replace dated infrastructure, this is despite the average household energy bill currently standing at more than 1,250 pounds annually.

It is fair to say that the days of cheap household energy have gone and will not be coming back any time soon so it is up to the homeowner to find ways of cutting their energy bills.

But rather than just give into the inevitable, take the initiative and deploy energy efficient measures in your home as they are a proven winner when it comes to cutting the cost of energy bills in the long-term.
