Lying can be in any form. A person can lie if he or she wants to. You do not have control over it. All you can do is to watch for some helpful signs that a person is lying so that there may be high chances of not getting fooled.
Here are the three signs that someone is lying:
1. Cannot seem to look you in the eyes - You will know if someone is lying to you. One sign is that they cannot seem to look you in the eyes. There will be less eye contact. In your normal conversation, there may be certain parts that you will notice it. You may suspect that a person is lying to you because someone who has a normal conversation and not hiding anything make complete eye contact while talking to certain people. This may prompt you that a person is lying to you.
2. Obviously defensive - You can easily detect if someone is lying because a he or she will become extremely defensive. A person may be defensive all throughout your conversation and not really answering every question you ask. This person may even accuse you for lying just to let you escape from your thoughts that he or she may be lying to you. They seem to hide something and not revealing everything to you. Try to observe that person for some obvious defensive acts.
3. Trying to change topics - You can easily detect if someone is lying when he or she tends to change the topic easily. This situation may give you a hint. When he or she does not want to dig more on some certain topics, you will probably become more suspicious. Try to watch out for this sign.
