Veinlite, Improving Vein Access And Sclerotherapy With State Of The Art Tools

Many health professionals will agree that finding veins when drawing blood can sometimes be a tedious task. Physicians using Veinlite during sclerotherapy have higher patient throughput, greater patient satisfaction and increased referrals.

Veinlite also allows vascular surgeons to visualize varicose veins when the patient is lying down instead of only when the patient has been standing for a prolonged period. This is critically important for accurate treatment as the patient is lying down when undergoing ambulatory phlebectomy and the surgeon must be able to see the veins when the patient is in the treatment position.

TransLite's latest and most advanced tool offered is Veinlite II, designed specifically for sclerotherapy and other vein treatments, allowing vascular surgeons to work for longer, with less eye strain, by providing a gentler but higher contrast orange light for imaging superficial veins. Veinlite II also has the bright, white halogen light that images deeper veins so well. In addition to a choice of light settings and a sleeker, lower profile light source with a quick connect receptacle, Veinlite II has a brighter autoclavable ring illuminator with disposable, single use barrier covers. Use of barrier covers is critical in preventing cross contamination between patients. Recent studies have shown Hepatitis-C transmission between patients undergoing vein treatment procedures in the same clinic. Standards are advancing to address this risk and practitioners will soon be required to use autoclavable tools and barrier covers.
