Visit Florida Launches New Tourism Campaign
A new campaign from Visit Florida is aiming to attract more tourists to the destination.
Orlando holidays could be top of the list of things to do in the near future following the launch of a new campaign from Visit Florida, which aims to attract individuals from around the world to the popular destination.
Announcing its plans earlier this week, the tourism body's latest initiative - which comes complete with the slogan "Must be the Sunshine" - is focusing on innovative ways to encourage international visitors to extend their getaways, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
Replacing the agency's three-year-old advertisement offering "Your Florida Side is Calling", the new campaign is expected to continue with its popular "Share a Little Sunshine" promotion - aimed at domestic travellers.
On Thursday (September 6th), Visit Florida also launched a new television advert to accompany its new programme during the annual governor's conference on tourism in Orlando.
The commercial tells the story of a happy family who have recently enjoyed a holiday to the Sunshine State, with their home covered in souvenirs and items they have purchased from various attractions and activities during their getaway.
While aiming to appeal to the need for an exciting vacation in the current economic climate, the advert gives the body the chance to promote a series of destinations around the state.
It also includes an interactive component that is available online. Using this tool, individuals are invited to scroll over the different items in the television spot on a computer screen and observe details about each attraction.
Commenting on the campaign, Chris Thompson - president of Visit Florida - said: "With as diverse a state as Florida is, it's almost impossible to inventory in 30-second spot."
The tourism body has also developed a new campaign to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon's arrival on the state's east coast next year.
