The Ultimate Fighter is an American reality TV series show and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition produced by Spike TV and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The show features unknowns, professional MMA fighters living together in Las Vegas, Nevada, and follows them as they train and compete against one another for a prized contract with the UFC.

The casting call went out to the middleweight and welterweight fighters, but all the fighters will be in the welterweight division. Men are divided into two teams and compete in their weight classes to avoid elimination.

At the end of each week, one fighter from each team struggling in the Octagon to avoid being eliminated from the competition until only two remain in each weight category.
