What Complaining Does To Your Spirit And How To Avoid It
If theres one thing I cannot stand its being around someone who cant find anything better to do then complain
. They start complaining and you know what happens? The people around them start complaining too. Its like a horrible flu virus that starts with one person and spreads quickly to others.
But theres a cure for this particular virus and there are a number of things you can do to prevent it. Like any virus, if you avoid contact with people who have it, even if that means certain news or television shows, than do it. The beauty of this particular virus is that you can always tell who has it. Its a clear as day, or clear as mud I should say.
If youre stuck with someone who cannot stop complaining, proceed to change the subject or turn the situation into a joke. Make them laugh about it and if all else fails tell them that youd rather not talk about it. What are they going to do but pout and defend themselves? But would you rather hear them complain and you suffer just so that you can be polite or would you rather turn the situation around? I would rather do the latter.
