The examination anxiety is the biggest factor that affects the preparation and confidence of the students to show a good performance in the examination.

Usually, it is suggested to have a calm mind when preparing for the exams. It is not suggested to forget about all the worries and important matters because if you will not keep them in mind then there will be no stimulation. It is important to have high stimulation because it will enable you to show better performance in the exams. Remember, there are two phases of exam anxiety. Most of the students feel examination anxiety before the exams while some students also feel tension after the exams. Both types of feelings are dangerous. However, the anxiety before the exams is really very dangerous. In most of the cases, the students give up because of continuous tension. This is not good because it makes them poor for the tests or exams.

The examination anxiety after the exams doesnt affect the performance but it has effects on the mental and physical health of the students. You are suggested to avoid both the types of anxieties. If possible then try to use the techniques suggested by the psychologists. The first most effective technique is stopping the negative thoughts. It is very important to stop the negative thoughts because when someone feels anxiety they start to think negatively. The spiraling thoughts and ideas should be avoided by making your mind fresh. Remember, stopping your mind from negative working is the actual success because it will allow you to start thinking and planning positively.

Try to create mild pain. No doubt, it sounds very odd but it is effective to reduce examination anxiety. Actually, a little pain usually creates feelings that can be helpful to divert your attention. This is the actual purpose of creating a little pain. For this you can use your fingernails pressing into the palms. Most of the people use this method but some prefer to have an elastic band or rubber stripe around the hand or wrist.


Repeat the words of Calm and Rest again and again. This technique is called Mantra. You have to use this technique after using the above mentioned techniques. Try to focus on various objects present around you and find the purposes and benefits of these things.
