There are many exciting prospects that come with age when you're younger

. There is a veritable turnstile of excitement in the range from sixteen to twenty-five. Many of these include driving, voting, drinking, and maybe graduating from college. After that, the ages of interest seem to take a turn. All of a sudden people are asking when you turn the big "four-o." Then after that they're looking for you to turn fifty and undergo a mid-life crisis. And both of these are still all on the way to the average retirement age of sixty-five. After that though, what is there? People make jokes about memory loss, and about hearing, but the worst is probably when those feeble jokers begin to talk of issues like nighttime incontinence.

Just in case you never had to put up with such a thing and are unclear about what it is, we'll expound on it now. That way no one has to feel uncomfortable the next time it reaches casual conversation. Essentially, nighttime incontinence is going to the bathroom involuntarily while you're sleeping. Not the prettiest picture, we know.

Now the first option isn't the ideal. It is in fact medication. However, there is no pill that will cure the problem. There are those that can help improve the situation internally, but they can come with messy complications, and let's just say it: they cost money!

The suggestions that don't cost you anything are pretty clean. Discussing it with your significant other or a family member are the best moves. By airing it, you don't feel so weighted down by its impact on your body. Next, begin to monitor your drinking habits. If you're having drinks late at night and are still finding issues, then try scaling back the hour you take your last sip. Finally, there's also exercise. The always healthy alternative can help stabilize the way your organs operate and make them perform toward their best.

When it's all said and done though, just don't feel like you're alone. Nighttime incontinence isn't a rare disease, and it isn't an unlivable one. You should generally consider yourself very lucky if that's all you're dealing with. Believe you me, it could be so much worse than it is.
