Wonder Woman's New Costume: Spandex, Bustier and Spike heels

Good news for the superhero universe, Wonder Woman's costume is kind of different from the old one. Not just any getup, but the new Wonder Woman red, blue and gold regalia, complete with Lasso of Truth and spike heels. Actually, Wonder Woman has a sexy new look with Adrianne Palicki as the star of NBC's upcoming reboot of the classic '70s series. The costume itself shiny spandex pants, bullet-deflecting wrist cuffs and eagle-emblazoned bustier is drawing plenty of comments from comic fans, fashionistas and anyone else who feels like weighing in.

there's one opinion that really matters Lynda Carter's. Though Carter wasn't the original live-action Wonder Woman, she's certainly the most memorable and most iconic. "I think she looks fabulous," said Carter, who originated the role in the classic (and oh-so-campy!) series in the mid-'70s. "It's a new look and, jeez, her body looks fantastic." Carter wants everyone to give Palicki a chance. "I'm very sensitive to the fact that she will be compared," she says. "There's no getting around it. It is what it is. I would hope that people would cut her some slack. I'm sure there will be people who say she looks better than me and like her better than meand that's also fine." she continued. "I want this story to be told again. I'm really excited. I can't wait to see it."

Those who remember the original series may notice that the bottom half of this look shows less skin than when Lynda Carter played Diana Prince in the late 1970s.
