Most of college students want to work. This desire may be dictated by a number of reasons. Some students want to have extra money, to be able to pay tuition, or to get some practical skills in the profession they have chosen. All those reasons are considered to be strong, still, we are going to pay your attention to other aspects of the problem. Searching for a job, some students cannot understand the simplest terminology used on the Internet. Here are the explanations to the most commonly used words and phrases which are aimed at denoting the types of jobs. There is no need to say that the type for a job means a lot.

The terminology students should know

1.Part-time job is a job that does not require full-time employment. Students have an opportunity to work after classes or in the evenings.

2.Internship may be of two kinds. Work experience internship is commonly taken by students of the second or third year of study. The knowledge students got while education are supposed to be used in practice. Research internship is an opportunity most students use on the last year of their study. The main purpose of such employment is to conduct a research for a specific company which is specialized in the sphere a students studies at college.

3.Seasonal job is the one that allows students work only during different seasons, summer or winter. This work is widespread in health-resort zones, either near the sea or in the mountains.

4.One-time job is the opportunity to get extra money from the work that is offered only ones. For example, students may help a neighbor to unload cargo from a van and get some money for it.

5.Full-time temporary positions are the positions students may take for holiday period.
