Your Net Biz, From a "Newbie" to a "Newbie"
I just thought I'd write an article for anyone thinking of getting into Your Net Biz
, from the point of view of a new starter.
Firstly, I don't really like the term "Newbie"! It reminds me of Dr Cox calling JD "Newbie" in Scrubs. So henceforth I shall refer to ourselves as beginners!
I'm going to aim this at beginners who have done nothing online before, with the exception of buying a cd or DVD off ebay. What I mean is people who have never tried to make money online before, who were in the same position I was in at the when started about 6 weeks ago, who don't know where to start but want to take some sort of action and are willing to learn.
I've found with starting out, that you must be patient, which is obvious, but whilst I didn't expect things to happen overnight, to be honest, I was hoping for something to happen in the first month. I've had hits on my website and 2 people on my list, which I consider progress and I'm not going to give up.
The way I see it is, if it's not happening, I'm not doing enough. Or I have to go back, change something, and try again.
I am, though, using the free methods of advertising, like articles, videos on YouTube and a blog. Well I did have a blog until I asked for advice on the Warrior Forum and it got ripped to pieces, so I'm going to rethink that one!
Basically, it's like I saw someone say on a video on YouTube (I can't remember her name!), you've got to be different somehow, and stand out from the noise because there are LOTS of people online claiming they'll be able to tell you how to make money.
There are the free methods of marketing or the paid. So you are either paying with your time or your money, or both. In my case it's time, as I don't have enough money to use the paid methods of advertising. Which means I need to be patient because it takes time to generate a presence on the Internet.
One thing I would recommend is checking out the mentor you are thinking of signing up with as there have been some horror stories of people signing up through dishonest "mentors" and not getting anywhere because they don't have the right tuition.
As with anything, you should research as much as you can before you get involved, as it's a big change and a big challenge to take on and it would be stupid to just rush into it without considering what you'll actually have to do when you sign up. It's a genuine business opportunity so you should be prepared to put in the work but at the same time, know that when something does happen, it will be worth the work.
