The difference between article spinning and duplicate content is that writers (or article spinners) rewriting existing articles, or parts of articles, and replacing elements to avoid being penalized in the Search Engine Results pages (SERP) for using duplicate content. So its safe to say that this is the safest way to duplicate a content. However, there are several unlawful implications of using article spinning.

Article spinning usually involves the use of an original content which will then be rewritten for this purpose. According to many SEO Philippines consultants, the original articles are often plagiarized from other websites and can often also be copyright infringements if the original article was used without the copyright owner's permission.

Other than SEO companies, many professionals such as writers use article spinning for their own. They would also use softwares that makes spinning better and faster. Although there are softwares that could ruin the whole article because of poor use of words, there are softwares that can provide good results in spinning.
