Let's talk about some advanced SEO techniques. Many of the serious internet marketers are using now. They are building up their own network of sites.

There's a lot of debate going around about using separate IPs and if you need to mask the fact that your linking to your own site from another bunch of websites or your get penalized. I just know many people are doing it and having good success at it.

Many people can get their focus off in the wrong direction when working with a bunch of other networks, but if you apply a few basic rules, you'll find that you'll do very well with this.

I was putting up a cluster of websites registered in someone else's name using a different IP block. You can put up your own domain names or go out and create some on other people's networks. But you have to be careful not to do anything wrong or a whole block of your network sites will be taken down. That's happened to me before.

You want to build a good quality business that is going to last. I don't think the search engines would say that having a few websites is bad.

People that do have more that one website link back to each of the sites. There are many different ways that you can do this. Go out and register 2 to 3 different blogs and start putting content up on them that is related to your main site. Then drop a few links going back to your main page. Don't get link happy or you'll find that your site will be banded.

Building up your own network of sites in a niche that is related to your main website can be very beneficial for you. Don't get sided tracked. Focus on building up your business. Don't link back to any affiliate programs. I've had a whole network being taken down because I was linking directly to my affiliate programs. That hurt me because I put a lot of time and effort building up that blog.

Go out of your way and leave comments on other people's networks that might be related to yours and don't be afraid of getting to know other people in your network. Go out of your way to say hello to someone who is in the same field as you are. It's also all about building up relationships and seeing where they go.

If it comes down to selling your business at a later time, you can sell these networks along with it as part of the package. It works really well if you put good quality content up on the networks you are using. The better the quality of pages the better you will do in the search engines.
