In an aeroponic system, baby plants are kept hanging inside a jar where a nutritious mixture known as rooting mixture is sprayed all around the roots. This mixture serves the plant with all types of essential nutrients which the plant requires for growing up. This mixture also speeds up the growth of the roots and thus, developing them at a faster rate and increases the nutrient aeration too which helps in the better oxygen delivery to the roots of the plants. This increased aeration prevents the growth of pathogens like salmonella in the roots.

Another interesting fact about this system of plant growth is the use of cloners which is perhaps the easiest way of initiating root growth. The use of a cloner significantly reduces the chance of any plant disease, making them sturdier as well as healthier. The options of clone tray vary from 45 to 70 to 165. Any aeroponic system that becomes available in the market always comes along with a few machineries like diffuser-fitted air pump, 10 gallon reservoir and a submersible pump.

One of the most important requirements for an aeroponic growth method is a HP5 grow light or a T5 grow light. This light system stimulates the healthier growth of the plants. The plant growth is even enhanced by the elimination of the risks related to the soil bacteria which enhances the health of the plants.
