An Introduction To The Organizations Called students Unions
Students unions are students organizations created in many colleges and Universities which took their beginning from high schools
. Usually these unions have their own building on the territory of the campus. They are connected with social life of students. Most of them are ruling by students and representing them both from the University and from the Youth itself. Students can be involved in life of these unions by taking part in different activities or meetings organized by these organizations, or to become a member or an elected officer of the union.
Such students governments sometimes focused upon different points. For example it could be students senate setting its interest on politics and all the desirous can train here their politic skills and discuss interest themes. At the same time Union can organized different seminars and campaigns in which students with different views taking part. Also different authorities can participate in such events.
But in general these students associations protect students rights providing all support needed to make students life easy and happy.
Students unions have their annual budget and distribute it among other, smaller university and students organizations.
Postgraduate students are situated among the other students or have their separated department. Most union leaders are elected for only one year term but there are some accidents of several years ruling. There are several positions in the students governmental body at the high school:
1.Class Advisor (a teacher from the school)
2.President
3.Vice President
4.Treasurer
5.Secretary
6.Sergeant-at-Arms
Such unions organize and take part in different extracurricular activities, involving people in volunteer work, different events, making entertainment programs for students like concerts, competitions, etc.
To be a participant of Students union is very popular among students because it shows that you are a communicative, active interesting person, full of ideas and energy to fulfill them.
