My son and his girlfriend are expecting their first child in a few months but before the baby is born, they decided to get married. I'm really happy for them but at the same time, I'm really worried about how they will do everything at such short notice and also prepare for a baby. His girlfriend surprised me when she asked if I will help her organise the wedding, I didn't want to waste time so I sat down with her and started planning their big day. She doesn't have any family, her parents died when she was young and so she grew up living at many different foster homes. My son asked her to move in with him after he found out she was pregnant, which is is another big change she has to deal with, but this time I offered to help them. The first thing I need to do is sort out the removal services, once I've found that I'll start helping them with the packing. The next few months will be very busy, but I'm really worried about his girlfriend, as it's a lot to take on during the first stage of the pregnancy and so I will make sure we are there to help out as much as we can. I can't believe I'll be a grandmother and mother-in-law all at once, double happiness in the same year, and I couldn't ask for anything more.
