If you have been hearing a lot of hype about End Time Events but are not sure which "latest theory" to believe, don't think that you're alone
. Let me share some things that have meant a lot to me.
The books of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation are not beyond our understanding. In fact, they have been written to provide guidance during End Time events. That's the reason for the blessing that is promised in the first chapter of Revelation where we are told that the person who reads the words of the prophecy of Revelation will be blessed. We are also told that we should observe what is written for the time is getting close.
END TIME STRATEGY
Now is the time to apply the wisdom of scripture to our lives. Instead of waiting for a "great escape" now is the time to develop an END TIME STRATEGY.
Pro 22:3 A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks; a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered.
It's interesting to note that many Bible scholars have compared the plagues of Egypt with the vials of God's wrath that will be poured out. If God protected the Israelites then, is it not plausible that He would protect Christians who are on earth during the tribulation? Also, careful study will reveal that even though Christians have always experienced tribulation throughout history, the major end time tribulation is directed toward the Anti-christ and his followers.
SCRIPTURAL PRINCIPLE #1: Plan ahead and be prepared for trouble.
As we go on the offense against the evil one, wisdom would dictate that we should develop a Strategy for the End Time. A significant clue as to the framework for our END TIME STRATEGY is found in Revelation 12: 14.
Throughout scripture we are directed to "prepare the wilderness" around us. Now is the time to seek God as to how we are to be used in the preparation of "the wilderness" of Revelation 12.
SCRIPTURAL PRINCIPLE #2: We are essential elements of God's plan.
In Psalm 8:6 we find that God has given us authority over all that He does. It is through us that the "Wilderness of Revelation 12" will be prepared. As we move into a frontal assault on the forces of evil we are to be sensitive to God's leadership.
SCRIPTURAL PRINCIPLE #3: God has the answer before we recognize a need.
Rev. 1:3 Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things that are written therein: for the time is at hand.
