Enjoy the New Season of "Jersey Shore" From Chicago to Detroit on Satellite TV

If your busy schedule of gym, tan, laundry has been keeping you from remembering that it's been a few months since New Jersey's most famous export graced tv screens around the country, it's time to snap out of it. The premiere of "Jersey Shore" in its second season is coming, if all of the various PR hasn't clued you in already. It seems like the crew has been popping up just about everywhere, whether it happens to be on late-night television or over on MTV's various different awards shows. And while some are worried that everyone is going to be a bit more self-aware of their onscreen identities this time around, a whole lot of other insiders say that even though it's Miami, you can expect to see the same shenanigans you did last season when tuning in on satellite tv.

But it's definitely true: a whole lot has changed since the first season of "Jersey Shore." While DJ Pauly D might have been content to rock the dancefloors of obscure Rhode Island clubs before, now he's been spinning everywhere from The Super Bowl to various different Las Vegas nightclubs. His dedication to his craft as well as his rigorous hair gel routine have netted him some seriously great jobs, and yet he decided that he would return to do a second season of what might be MTV's most successful reality television program ever.

It's more than just Pauly D who managed to make "Jersey Shore" one of the biggest hits on satellite tv in quite some time. It's the fact that MTV managed to find a whole house full of kids who were not yet paying full attention to cameras that were filming their lives. With someone like Snookie, you could be assured that she was not doing anything to get the cameras to focus on her more. She just really enjoyed drinking, perhaps beyond her limit, and then would occasionally get herself in trouble. Likewise, "The Situation" might have known that he was full of himself and interested in getting cocky, but it was clear on season one that he had no idea he would spend the rest of his life lifting his shirt every time there happened to be a camera around.

These stars of "Jersey Shore" reunited with the lesser-known characters--Ronnie, Vinnie, JWoww, and Angelina---but this time around, the producers decided to forgo the actual Jersey Shore in favor of Miami. While previews have shown that things are even crazier this season--after all, what drunk person in South Beach wouldn't want to try to fight these guys--the fact is that fans can only hope. After all, these are people who used to watch television, and now they can see their own faces on HDTV screens all over the country. While it's optimistic to hope that they are going to be the same lovable losers from season one, it is anyone's guess how things will actually be. One thing is for certain, though. Whether you're living in Chicago or Detroit, chances are your friends will be glued to the television set for this season premiere.
