Feeling Afraid During A Case Interview

A case interview may be one of the hardest interviews to go through because they're more detail-oriented than most interviews are

. For these kinds of interviews it's normal to get a nervous feeling because this would be something that you're not going to be prepared for. It has to be something you can say that relates to the question you're given.

This may be an interview where you have no idea what it is going to turn out to be. Everyone is excited when they get interviews from at least half of the employers they applied with. Just in case you would not know what they would be talking to you about, it is always good to be prepared and have a list of questions you would like to ask the employer when it's over.

It's natural to feel nervous because they're going to put you on the spot during these kinds of interviews. They want to see if you're able to think up an answer to the question they give you or if you can answer it as soon as they ask it. They're going to either take down mental notes or write down notes on that alone because it impresses them.

If you're not able to answer the question, some employers might be able to shake it off because they figure that you're nervous. Honestly employers do not tell you about what they're going to do because most employers do not want to be prepared. They may wonder if you're looking the answer up or how long you are thinking of it to take you that long.

Then again, a few employers may let you know a head of time but will not give you the questions they're going to ask you. This way you can at least be prepared what they're going to do and you can try to think up your own questions on what you think they may ask you. Who knows they may not ask you any of them or they may ask you all of them.

Since you want to be able to resolve the situation as fast as you can from the moment they finish talking, you want to be thinking about what you would do at a time like that while they're still talking. This way you can at least try to listen to them and think up something really quick. You do not want to be too quick about it because you want to wait until he finishes and not to interrupt him.

It's normal to be nervous during any kind of interview especially a case interview because you have no idea what to expect. All the interviews you had lined up may be like the one you just had so you want to be prepared if something like that were to happen.
