Feeling Annoyed During A Case Interview

What most, if not all, employers look for in a case interview is whether or not you're

hanging on to their every last word, how soon you're able to answer the questions, if the situations that you're explaining to the employer make any sense, how many questions you're asking after it's over, or even how you portray your body language.

Employers do not want to have interviews with potential employees that do not look like they're even listening. It's a waste of your time and theirs when you should have said before you even drove there that you were not interested. Some people may have short attentions spans and may not be able to sit for long periods of time. If this job requires any kind of sitting at all, then this would not be the right route for you to take. If it does not involve any sitting at all, then you want to let your employer know this before you even come in for one of these interviews.

Since you're given a problem and you're supposed to figure out how you would handle the situation, then it's best to let the employer know how quickly words can come into your brain and form sentences without even thinking about it. This will impress the employer especially when they see how fast you can come up with a situation to solve the problem.

In some cases, it does not even matter how fast you come up with the situation. What matters is that whatever you say has to make sense. If it does not, then the employer may think you're just saying something that's coming from out of nowhere because you're nervous or because you just want to get any of the interviews you may have over with.

It's also a good thing to ask a lot of questions once the interview is coming to an end because you want to let the employer know how interested you are in the position. What goes along with this would be taking notes. After each question you ask, you may want to take notes so you can read later over and over again what the employer has been saying. This may impress them the most because now they know how serious you are and may even consider you a spot in their company.

Your body language is very important before, during, and after an interview. You want to always be smiling and let your bubbly personality show. If they do not see this, then this could be bad news for you because then they would think you do not even care. Failure to show interest may result in you not getting the job.

Their are tons of things that employers look for and take notes on during a case interview. Failure to do any of this may result in you having consequences like you not getting the job, but it also depends on what kind of employer you are being paired to interview with.
