First-time Buyers Could Be In A New Home In Watford By Christmas With Cala

Just three months after the development was launched

, already eight apartments at the Brosimum House phase of CALA Homes' Nascot Grange development in Watford are occupied and with a series of incentives in place, the housebuilder is hoping that first-time buyers could be settled in one of the other properties for sale there by Christmas. With a starting price of under 250,000, these new homes in Hertfordshire are bound to be popular with those hoping to stop renting and enter homeownership.

With their location in one of Watford's most desirable residential quarters and proximity to the town centre, rail station and major road links, the apartments will appeal to anyone working locally, in London or further afield. Property investors have also been keen to pick up one of these high-specification homes too, as those unable to get on the property ladder are sure to find these new homes an appealing rental option.

"Our new homes at Nascot Grange suit not just first-time buyers, but also investors and, with our 100% Full Market Value Part Exchange Scheme available, people who are trading up to a new apartment," says Alison Deakin, sales and marketing director of CALA Homes (South).

Part exchange is just one of the incentives on offer at the development. Those starting out on the road to homeownership have the option of a deposit paid deal, where CALA Homes provides five per cent of the property price towards the initial deposit, or the CALA Pay shared equity scheme, which allows them to purchase with a lower-than-normal deposit and mortgage, with the balance provided as an interest-free loan by the housebuilder.

The homes themselves, set out over four storeys of the Brosimum House apartment block, are beautifully presented two-bedroom, two-bathroom properties, meaning that they are suitable for friends or siblings who wish to buy and live together but maintain separate lives in the home. They come in a variety of layouts and prices: some ground-floor apartments have French doors while the first- and second-floor homes benefit from a Juliet balcony. Common factors to all the homes include the spacious, fully fitted open-plan kitchen/living area, an en suite shower room and built-in storage to the master bedroom, audio entry phone, lift access and a designated parking space.

CALA Homes has a show home and marketing suite at the development, which are open from 10.30am to 5.00pm, Thursday to Monday, which allow prospective buyers to check out Nascot Grange in person and talk about the deals on offer with the CALA Homes team.
