If you're like me, you want to learn the right information on Forex trading. There are so many sources online it's pretty tough to know who you should be listening to. One form of getting information is from a free Forex trading seminar. You need to be very careful if you decide to do this.

There are always pros and cons when you try to learn something new. This is no different with seminars that discuss the Forex. The pros will be free information but the cons may make attending not worth it.

Nothing is really free in life. With seminars, the providers are wanting something from you. After they do their presentation, they'll try to sell you a course or software package. Or maybe tickets to the advanced seminar where you will find the "real" secrets of Forex trading. I highly doubt you will find a free seminar without this happening.

When you attend, most likely you will be provide some basic fundamentals about the Foreign Exchange market. This is all you should be trying to get out of these seminars. If you want to try to get decent information from one of these, you should look for the ones that use live market data during the session. This can be more useful than watching a boring slide deck.

The biggest downfall with trying to learn from a free seminar is you might get sucked into their sales pitch. Instead of coming home with more knowledge of trading, you come home hundreds or thousands of dollars poorer because you just bought their course. More often than not, you would have just thrown away your hard earned money.

There's a better way to learn about the Foreign Exchange market. I always recommend that discount brokers have the best free information you can find. Many have complete libraries of free, high quality information you can use anytime you want. Some will even have videos.

In my opinion, a free Forex trading seminar should be avoided. It's not worth your time. Rather, check out some broker sites and you'll be much further ahead.
