. The results have to be amassing in whatever area is that you apply for a scholarship. However, getting such a benefit is not an easy thing to do. In some countries, the child can be an excellent student, but he will not receive a scholarship if his parents have enough money to support him. However some foundations that provide scholarships don't just give it away to poor students as a form of supports. In fact, in some countries schools don't even have such a program. Mostly the scholarship is given to the best student and it generally consists in covering the expenses of studies, books and rent. Others can even provide extra money but not in all of the cases.

In order to apply for a foundation scholarship, the student has to provide some important documents considered relevant for the institution to give him such a benefit. For instance he has to prove that he is a student, that he has excellent results at math, for instance when applying for a math scholarship, but also at other areas of study. If the scholarship is also presented as a financial help, then the student has to prove that he is not living in the same city as the study university but also that he has no relatives living there where he might stay. Also he must prove that his parents are unable to support him or that he has no parents, such as in special scholarships granted for this situation.

The documents required are different in each scholarship appliance so a pre-documentation is necessary in order to shorten the time in which the student has to expect money for support or as a benefit.
