General Questions For Interview
Interviews are very critical for anybody in order to progress in various sectors of life
. Especially when the interviews are related to your living, they surely make everyone nervous. It is very important to be prepared for such interviews if you want to shine out amongst the bunch of applicants. Here are some of the general questions that most of the employers ask and ideal reply to them-
1. Why did you leave your previous job?
Most of the people tend to defame their previous company, but let me tell you it is not a very good practice. In fact, it gives a bad impression of not just your previous company but yours too. Give them a good impression of your previous company while telling them a genuine reason as to why you left the previous company. The more you lie the lesser will be your chances to get selected. Interviewers are much smarter than you think they are. For example you may say that, I was pretty happy with my last job and the manager also appreciated my hard work but in past few years things turned around. The manager was replaced. Some other senior employees too were sacked for no fault of them. I just sensed a team defragmentation yet I was not sacked but wasnt promoted either. While working I have enhanced some good skills in me by pursuing CompTIA Training online and now I am looking for to use my skills for good and expect the company to recognize my efforts.
2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Be honest while answering to this question. Do not goof up and talk something that doesnt make sense. Talk practically and something that makes sense. Some strengths that you may quote could be- I am a team player, I posses leadership qualities, I adapt myself to the situation, etc. It is equally important to mention your weaknesses. Many people make the mistake of saying- I havent explored that yet. Never ever say so. That indicates that either you are not aware of yourself or you are being overconfident. Tell them honestly if you lack good communication skills or time management skills. The interviewers will appreciate your honesty. But never tell your weaknesses alone always tell what you are doing about it. You may say that, I feel that I lack good communication skills but I am taking language training to improve myself.
3. Why do you want to join us?
It is indeed an important question. Tell them that you see a good future at their company. Praise the company tactfully. Tell them, that being a brand the company would bring a professional out of you to the best and you would learn a lot there. Tell them that you wont only grow in terms of remuneration but also in terms of skills.
4. What is your expectation with this job: Never ever misunderstand this question by replying with a package expectation. This is a very tricky way to test your spontaneity. Reply by saying that I expect that this job would allow me to flourish and impress my seniors by the virtue of my sincerity and talent.
