Either way, youll be getting all the nutrients you need without the strain on your body, and youll feel cleansed and energised very quickly.
So, to get these amazing benefits, youll want to buy a juicer, and I recommend you go for a masticating one. The reason for that is that theyre much more efficient than the centrifugal variety. Yes, theyre a little bit more expensive, but theyll save you money in the long run because you get a lot more juice from the same amount of fruit and vegetables. Also, a good juicer will come with a five or ten-year guarantee so quality will pay for itself overall.
Another reason for choosing a masticating juicer is that it can cope with the toughest, most fibrous plant material it can juice wheatgrass or barley grass, for example. My personal favourite juice is made with a base of cucumber and celery, and if Im feeling adventurous I might add something to it. The beauty of juicing is that you can adapt your ingredients to the seasons or for specific purposes. So in the winter, I might use some root vegetables like squash or parsnip, and in summer, perhaps some low-glycaemic fruit. If you want something warming you can add ginger or garlic; if you want to cleanse your liver you might put some radishes or artichoke in; to get the digestive system going you could try beetroot or ginger again there really is a juice ingredient for all occasions.
There are juices to cleanse you, juices to purify you, to energise you, to wake you up, to alkalise you and it all starts with having a really great quality masticating juicer.
