How Effective Are Your Energy Vitamin Supplements?
In today's fast paced world of overtime and double shifts
, there is no doubt that people find it very hard to carry-on with every day activities without getting tired. Though being tired or fatigued is a part of everyday normal lives; it could also be a sign of depleted or lack of energy. Often, this lack of energy is attributable to poor diet, lack of exercise, and other emotional letdowns like bad day at work, or unstable home life and others.
In the worst case scenario, combinations of this entire concern can result to not only fatigue, but also even anxiety and depression. Taking energy vitamin supplement may help. Energy dietary supplements provide the energy and nutrition that the body lacks but nevertheless needs to offset the fatigue it feels. If such nutrition cannot be naturally obtained in one's diet and habits, doctors may recommend the intake of energy dietary supplements. These can be either in the form of chemical preparations administered as drugs, commonly known as multivitamins or other forms of natural supplements for energy.
Multivitamins provide vitamins that are essential in one's diet; for example, energy-giving vitamins known as B-complex, calcium for strong bones, vitamin A for good eyesight, vitamin C for a strengthened immune system, iron for healthy blood circulation, etc. Another form is that of herbal preparation: extracts of herbs that possess high levels of vitamins are prepared for intake in capsule form. Examples of these herbs are gingko biloba, purported to enhance memory and concentration; deer velvet antler, said to have power to relieve inflammation and provide energy boost for athletes; ginseng which is traditionally used to treat diabetes and sexual impotence in men; royal jelly, known to lower cholesterol, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties, etc.
The efficacy of some herbal supplements is still subject of further studies and debates; unfortunately, there is no decisive conclusion reached at the moment. Because energy dietary supplements are aggressively marketed and are available almost everywhere, it will be very hard if not impossible for consumers to resist taking it to boost energy. Some people, and experts on opposite side of the argument believes that whatever people can gain from taking the supplement herb could also be gained from eating right, exercising, and getting adequate sleep as well as having good outlook on ones live.
If one leads a healthy lifestyle, he or she will never be in need of these energy dietary supplements that are still fairly expensive. It is still much cheaper and more practical to exert effort to keep oneself healthy rather than depend on such supplements that do not promise or guarantee anything anyway.
