The loss of our listening abilities can have a tremendous impact on the quality of our lives

. Loss of hearing may results from old age, accidental injuries and to some extent, negative side effects of certain medications.

But this does not mean that we have to live with this loss for the rest of our lives as there are now several ear trumpet available. The key is choosing the best hearing aids that will suit our needs and lifestyles.

The best ear trumpet are of course those that will give us the most benefits and one that we can wear comfortably as if they're not there. 1. Behind-the-Ear - This one, we may have seen on a few occasions. We hook this one up over our ear and the ear piece itself is placed on the outer portion of the ear. This type of aid is suitable for any age and it is one of the best ear trumpet today when it comes to the power of amplification it transmits to the ear.

A variation of this is the Open Fit ear trumpet. It is smaller in size and the ear piece is placed inside the canal instead of on the outer ear.

2. Completely in the Canal - As its name suggests, this one goes completely inside the canal making it the least visible out of all the best deaf aid available these days. This is not suitable for those who have severe hear loss and since it uses only small batteries, we cannot use this for longer periods at a time.

3.In-the-Ear - This is made of hard plastic, much like the other deaf aid and this one fits perfectly in the outer ear. It is small in size so it is less visible. This is one of the best deaf aid for those who work on the telephone all day as it can transmit sound through a special feature called the telecoil.

4.In-the-Canal - This type of hearing aid is customized to fit inside the person's ear canal. This provides more comfort as it is molded just to the right size and shape of each person's ear canal.

DO YOU NEED A HEARING AID?

If we suspect that we are suffering from some sort of listening sense loss, the best way to find this our for sure is by visiting an otolaryngologist who can tell us whether we do suffer from listening ability loss and what may have caused it.

Once we have ascertained that we are indeed suffering from deaf, we can then visit an audiologist who will tell us up to what degree we have lost our ability of listening and give suggestions on the best deaf aid that will be most suitable for us.

While listening ability loss may be a tremendous blow to us, it is not completely incurable especially now with excellent hearing aids that will help us regain some, if not all, of our listening ability. With a good selection of the best deaf aid suitable for us, we can once again enjoy a better quality of life.
