How To Pick The Right Wireless Speaker Sound System

All of us love to have that great theater quality sound in our own home

. What we don't love is the mess of wires that is usually associated with connecting a home theater system to our DVD players and our flat screen televisions. Often, you have to find very creative and ugly ways of hiding all those cords which can just create an even larger and more unsightly mess. But you don't have to worry about this issue when you upgrade your theater sound system to a wireless one. Researching wireless sound systems is easy to do thanks to the internet. Some of the things you will want to consider is the quality of the brand, how far the sound reaches, how their design will fit into your current home theater system and how expensive they will be. And as with anything, you get what you pay for, so you should definitely do your due diligence to get a wireless sound system that not only makes you happy but will impress your friends too!

Since you do not transmit the sound through the wires in a wireless speaker system, there are either radio frequency or infrared frequency transmitters that do the job. With infrared speakers, an IR light is used to send the signal at 50 to 2000 bps to the speakers, which then play the sound. The 870 to 950 nm IR light is the source of the sound. If your space is a little smaller, these speakers are ideal; otherwise, you might experience some signal degradation, and you have to make sure they are within each speaker's line of sight.

For larger spaces, the radio frequency systems are preferred. They are also quite popular for outdoor systems, where the speakers may be spread far apart. Most of these systems use a 900 MHz signal with a 40 kbps transmission speed. One of the biggest advantages of a radio frequency is that it can transmit through walls and similar impediments that would block an infrared beam. It does require some work on your part to find the best position for signal reception and sound quality, and it does have a range limit as well. With a higher cost and an unfortunate tendency to interfere with other electronic signals, such as cordless phones, you will need to decide if this is the type of system that best suits your space.

You can find wireless speakers in many different varieties. The integrated wireless home theater system includes an amplifies, transmitter, subwoofer, and five speakers - two in front, one for the center, and two for the rear.

You also have options to add on wireless speakers at your leisure. These can be added to the wireless system you already have at any time.
