INTRODUCING THE NEW ACER STREAM

The new Stream handset from Acer is a stylish smartphone incorporating some really top end technology

. A great display and an excellent processor are amongst the host of attractive features that look set to make this new handset a big success.

Anybody looking for a mobile phone that handles a multitude of multimedia functions will be impressed with what the Acer Stream has to offer. A still camera facility can snap images at a good quality 5 mega pixel resolution. In order to make the capture of the image that little bit easier and ultimately produce better results, two handy features have been included on the Stream. The fairly standard Autofocus function reduce the need to have to manually focus on a subject, whilst the new image stabiliser helps reduce camera shake. Geo Tagging facilities are also included, assigning a geographical position to every photo you take. If you are more a fan of shooting video, then the high definition recording quality will certainly appeal. The camera records at a rate of 24 frames per second at a resolution of 720 progressively scanned lines. Obviously, video in such high resolution does consume a lot of storage space. Thus the 2GB of memory that is pre installed is partnered my a micro SD card slot, opening up the potential for expansion up to 32GB. The phone also features a mini HDMI socket, making the viewing of your footage on a home television a very straight forward affair.

The new Acer Stream scores very highly in the looks department. Measuring 119.5 x 63 x 11mm, the phones is streamline enough, without sacrificing aspects such as screen size, which is vital for good quality media playback. The handset looks very high end thanks to the inclusion of some attractive looking dark aluminium in the design. The front of the phone is dominated by the great 3.7" screen which displays a good quality 480 x 800 pixels. Being a AMOLED screen, colour reproduction is great, aided by the fact the phone can handle up to 1.6 million individual colours. Being a capacitive touchscreen, the display is very responsive and utilises multi touch technology. Three media keys feature beneath the screen, giving easy access to your files whilst on the go, removing the need to access various menus. A host of high specification features makes the Acer Stream a very viable option for anybody looking for a good quality smartphone. The design is eye catching and performance in general is very pleasing.
