Is Plr Still A Profitable Business Model?

One way to make money online in the past to is create private label rights (plr) content and sell it to other Internet marketers

. Is PLR still a good way to make money?

This is a good question as search engines jump all over sites with duplicate content. If you use PLR on your site as is when you buy it I do not think that is a good idea.

So if you are writing PLR content for others to buy from you for that reason that market is dead as far as I am concerned. So how can creating and selling plr products be a good business model?

Here are a couple of ideas.

1. eBooks for free content. Sites still need freebies to attract visitors, or to giveaway to build their list.

If you write an ebook and limit it for sale to 100 people for $10 you would make $1000. If that ebook takes you 20 hours to write you are earning $50 an hour once you have sold all of the copies.

By limiting the number of copies you're selling you protect the people who purchase it. The Internet marketer is getting something they can add to their site or giveaway to build their list at a reasonable price in limited distribution.

2. Autoresponder messages. This is a good way to make money creating PLR content.

The fact that other people are using the same thing is somewhat irrelevant in that no two lists are exactly the same. As an Internet marketer I'm not interested in writing a long series of autoresponder messages, but I might buy PLR articles use them as content.

3. Rewrite it. Many Internet marketers use article re-writing software. Their goal is to take an article and rewrite it until it's 100% unique.

Some will even spin that article until they have created hundreds of unique versions of it. This is a fast way to develop content for websites, but it may not be a good one.

Google, and other search engines, are becoming more sophisticated in how they view content. Although they still rely heavily on backlinks to rank those sites, they are looking at the sites in total to determine whether those are good for their searchers to go to.

Based on that just taking an article and spinning it does not really change the meaing of content in the article. Although Internet marketers may purchase this PLR content, and continue to build sites around it, Google eventually is going to kill those rankings unless it is wrote from a different angle and is 100% unique.

These are just a couple of examples of how writing PLR could be a profitable business model for you. Promote your content a little differently and focus on how the Internet marketer should be using it and you can still make money this way.
