The obvious way is to reduce caloric intake. That is what is believed. Let's take a different approach. Try to reduce, or complete avoid, your consumption of white flour and white sugar. The next step would be to start eating more. This is not to say eat whatever you want. Every two to three hours you should be eating a small meal. A typical day would be started off with a small bowl of oatmeal and three scrambled egg whites. For snack have 15 grapes and a 1/2cup serving of low fat cottage cheese. At lunch time try 4 ounces of grilled chicken and a nice green salad (no dressing). Now it is time for another snack reach for two stalks of celery and two tablespoons of hummus. The last thing to add to the day would be lots of water. Sip it all day long. Get a pretty glass or a nice water bottle and keep it with you at all times, filled with delicious cold water. The body needs about half your weight in ounces of water a day to stay properly hydrated. Drink 16 ounces before you even eat breakfast, have a glass with each meal and continue to sip throughout the day.

Rounding off the new you, always include some sort of cardiovascular exercise to your routine. Cardiovascular work is one of the most effective ways to burn fat. This is the goal, after all. Start off easy if need be. Walk for 10 - 15 minutes. Add on an additional five minutes each time you feel ready.
