Forty years ago, going to sports games was something that most Americans could afford. A Sunday afternoon at the football stadium didnt make much of a dent in the pocket. As the majority of the most exciting NFL games occur in the winter months, being able to sit inside on a big comfy couch in your sweatpants isnt all so bad.

Everyone can see the game perfectly, whereas before, most of the time, we found ourselves contorted in strange positions, tangled on the carpet trying to get a glance of the game, while at the same time, making sure the rest of the family could see. Now watching the pleasure on my diehard family members faces as they sink deeper into the couch is priceless.
