If you feel that natural chemical peels are the answer to your skincare problems, try this home made recipe. You will need half a cup of dry oatmeal together with a quarter of a cup of sugar, mineral water plus a Vitamin C tablet ground to a powder. You will also need two tablespoons of honey.

You have to do this in two phases. The first is with the sugar, oatmeal and water. Mix, make a paste and apply it your face. Using circular movements, you can spend a maximum of two minutes doing this. Rinse off with warm water.

The second phase uses the Vitamin C tablet together with honey and mix well until fully blended. Then apply this mixture to your face but make sure that the time does not exceed ten minutes. You can rinse this time with cool water.

This is fairly typical of natural chemical peels using a mixture of alpha hydroxy acids which are mainly derived from fruit, milk and sugar cane. When we come across them in skincare products they are usually mentioned under the name of glycolic acid. There are other natural chemical peels derived from the citrus fruit family such as oranges and lemons. Sometimes the AHAs are derived from natural sources while other times they are derived synthetically.
