Free energy... What does it bring to mind?

I can assure you that it brings an annoying sense of nervousness to the big energy companies.

It also triggers arguments among scientists and laymen. According to scientists, free energy is a fallacy. And technically it is, because the laws of thermodynamics clearly state that energy can only be changed from one form to another, but not created or destroyed. But scientists always look too deep into things and usually miss the point.

When we talk about free energy, we're merely thinking of energy that you don't have to pay for. And it's all around us.

The sun emits enough energy on the surface of the earth each minute to provide energy to the entire planet for a year. Unfortunately, there's no way to measure this energy, so there's no profit to be made by the powers that be. I'm sure if they could put a power meter between the earth and the sun, they'd charge us for our daylight as well. Wind power is another form of renewable energy to be reckoned with, but unfortunately the energy companies have moved in on this one and added it to their metered sources. And they managed to appeal to the elite with wind power by playing the guilt card about global warming and somehow charge more for the energy. Lastly, the unfairly infamous inventor, Nikola Tesla, deserves special mention. He not only invented and patented his radiant energy devices, but spent a lot of time and energy developing the facilities to transmit this energy wirelessly. Again, the fat cats withdrew funding for his project as soon as they realized that they couldn't meter this form of energy and thus couldn't charge consumers for it.
