Ncaa Basketball Tickets - Big Ten Rundown

The Big Ten is always at the forefront of college athletics

, but how will the conference fare this college basketball season? Will the Big Ten teams make a gigantic splash on the national stage, or will these Midwestern powerhouse programs flop under the pressure? Many college basketball experts believe that the Big Ten has the potential to send up to six teams to the NCAA Tournament in 2010, and the buzz around the NCAA seems to be overwhelmingly positive for this league. Let's take stock of some of the most compelling storylines from the Big Ten thus far this offseason. If you're interested in getting some NCAA basketball tickets to see the Big Ten in action, make sure to look seats soon, because these teams are going to sell out plenty of games.

Another Final Four At Home - It looks like the Big Ten will benefit from another awesome scheduling coincidence. Last season the Final Four was in Detroit, and although the Michigan State University Spartans couldn't take advantage of their wild hometown crowd, the Big Ten, if they send another team to the Final Four, will get to enjoy games played in Indianapolis, Indiana. Of course, the hard part will be sending some teams to the Final Four. Michigan State and Purdue are licking their chops, as they look like the class of the Big Ten this season. If both teams make the Final Four, what a year it will be for the Big Ten!

Michigan Moving Up the Ranks? - We could see one of the proudest college basketball programs return to the limelight in 2009-10. The Wolverines will enjoy some early-season hype this year, as they return just about all of their major contributors from last year. Experience counts for a lot in college basketball. Michigan went 21-14 overall and 9-9 in conference last year, earning a trip to the NCAA Tourney with some nice late-season play. Can they do even better this time around? Everyone's anxious to see this program return to prominence.

Penn State Looks for Revenge - Watch out for Penn State. The Nittany Lions didn't make the NCAAs last season much to the chagrin of their fans, who assumed a 10-8 conference record and 27-11 overall record would get them more than simply a birth in the NIT. They've got something to prove in 2009-10. This year they return their energetic point guard Taylor Battle, but they've lost some bigger players who contributed down low. Will Penn State get its vengeance? Can they make a statement in the late-season push for the Tourney? Will the incoming freshmen take over some of the rebounding and inside scoring load? Big Ten fans are all hoping that Penn State can make a deep run in March of 2010.

So there you have it, the best stories from the Big Ten basketball programs. There are lots of stories we left off this brief rundown, so make sure you check in on your favorite team regularly. Good luck with the remainder of the college football season, Big Ten fans, and may your basketball teams all perform well this winter and spring.
