It has more of a sports utility look versus mom's old "grocery getter;" providing a sportier appearance. Also, its sleek new frame is wider, which affords more interior room. The vehicle can comfortably accommodate up to 8 passengers, with a second row bench that can hold 3 child safety seats.
For those concerned that the new Honda Odyssey has been turned into a rocket ship with aggressive mechanics, don't worry. While slightly wider and sleeker, the new Honda Odyssey will continue to have a 3.5 liter, V-6 engine, front wheel drive. Mechanical upgrades include Honda's Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology. This will save you gas by automatically switching down to 3 or 4 cylinders in slower traffic. Additionally, the new Odyssey's 6 speed transmission replaces the 5 speed transmission of the earlier model.
