Nfl Tickets- Excellent Value Picks From The 2012 Nfl Draft
Think you're a loyal football fan who supports their team like no other
? The 2012 draft might change the way you feel about your favorite squad. More so than ever before, players are expected to play from day one, making the draft as important as ever. Some of the players in recent seasons have really helped sell NFL tickets from the get-go, and that's something that continue to be a trend moving forward.
What does a high-value pick really mean? Aren't all the players pretty valuable, at least in terms of what they get paid? Naturally, you can't say how good a pick a team made until you see that player in action, but the fact of the matter is that some players promise far more than others.
A big issue in draft valuation is the fact that all the clubs are coming from different places. Teams with horrible records, of which there were quite a few in 2011, are willing to spend more on the early picks they get. This is indicative of the fact that they have so much more to gain by supporting new players. Let's take a look at some of these future high-worth stars.
Andrew Luck:
You can't disregard Luck. As a two year Heisman Trophy runner up, he has been one of the most widely touted amateurs in draft history. This QB promises great things, and was so popular before the draft that suffering fans all over the country desperately hoped their teams would have bad seasons just so they could get him with the first pick. Talk about devotion.
The Indianapolis Colts, who selected Luck with the first overall pick, had the worst record in the league during the 2011 season. That alone makes their new quarterback a higher value pick than he would have been for another team.
Robert Lee Griffin III:
RG3 won the Heisman Trophy in 2011, and was the second pick, going to the Redskins. He was hyped up all year by major sporting networks and news outlets. His time at Baylor was not always so glorious, but that might actually raise his value as a player.
Fresh players make mistakes. The old "I'm invincible" mentality doesn't exclude football players, and quarterbacks and receivers without any big league experience are usually the worst. The fact that Griffin suffered an isolated ACL tear in 2009 and sat out a while before winning the Heisman shows that he's probably less likely to make dumb, dangerous plays.
Trent Richardson:
Richardson might not be as well-known as RG3 or Luck, but the fact that he got picked up by the Browns puts them in good position nonetheless. The Browns have spent the last two or three years suffering from coaching staff problems and a dismal 4-12 2011 season under Pat Shurmur.
The Browns were consistently rated as one of the worst offensive teams in 2011, performing horribly in every category. Their acquisition of one of the best new running backs out there is certainly fortuitous. Richardson is frequently hailed as the next Emmitt Smith. From the way he plays, he might have picked something up from watching videos of old Emmitt at the high school both attended.
